Anonymous Comments

Like any blogger, I love receiving comments and to encourage that, I removed the word verification a couple months ago because I realized how annoying it is. I don't moderate the comments left either except for those that Blogger flags as spam and these are most often compliments with a suspicious link left by anonymous users which I do not like. Until recently, the anonymous comments were harmless and not a problem but every day it seems one is now flagged. If you want to leave a compliment, suggest something, ask a question or even add a link to your own blog, I'm fine with that, I may even check it out... but from now on, you'll have to do it with an account, OpenID, Google, whatever. -MK

  2. Hi MK
Just a quick note to say that we have setup a frankening resource area for Aussie frankeners at http://www.beautyworld.com.au/franken_polish_supplies?b=1
We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/frankennailpolish and have an online video about the 6 Golden rules for frankening here as well as a signup for newsletter for those who want to get recipes and extra tips.
Sorry , but we do have a minimum order of $100 + GST. We are currently working on establishing a freight system to legally ship the hazardous lacquer base and tints around the world.
    Cheers

  4. Hey there MK, I was wondering if you had any experience with adding scents to your nail polishes? I would like to try adding a vanilla scent to mine but I'm not sure what sort of scent would be appropriate to use. Would something as simple as vanilla extract work? Thanks for any advice!

    1. You know, while I have heard of scented polishes before, I never tried to make one because, being a reformed nail biter, making my nails smell good didn't seem like a good idea lol.

Searching for the answer on Google, I found this link http://www.nailpolishforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7043 where a woman used regular perfume and says avoid the oily ones (which makes good sense and eliminates Coastal Scents' fragrances as an option).

I don't know that Vanilla Extract would work since it's a food grade item and I don't have a better suggestion. Maybe the perfume works because it has a lot of alcohol in it?
