DeleteI really need to learn to double check my typing for errors. I have the same to say to you that I said to Cassis P below. If owning a house is what you want one day, don't give up hope because you can have one to call your own eventually.
DeleteCongrats - I love love love being a home owner.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to comment. I sure hope I love it too- more responsibility but more freedom too.
DeleteCongrats!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteCongratulations! What a lovely house for a reasonable price.. so jealous! I'm still renting :'(
ReplyDeleteWe rented an apartment for 8 years here so I understand (I could have paid a chunk towards owning a house for what we paid them in rent and actually gotten something out of it instead of throwing money in a hole). I don't know what your financial situation is but I have a feeling if we were able to do, its not that difficult to get approved. My hubby makes decent money but with only the one income, we're on the lower end of the income bracket and he was able to get approved for a loan without my "excellent" credit rating and his is lower than mine with a higher debt ratio. We had zero money for a down payment but there are programs for this: USDA Rural Housing, Urban Development and others. Buying a house might not be in the cards for you today but it's not an impossible dream. I never thought we never would unless my father helped us buy one or I inherited his one day but we did do it, on our own, with a little hep from the USDA of course. And there could be advantages to owning a home when it comes to money- for instance, we'll have a mortgage payment but hubby's drive to work went from 30 minutes to 5 and with gas around here $4.00 a gallon, savings add up. And when the tax return season comes back around, there will be a little boost there too. Don't give up hope, lady! It CAN happen for you too.
DeleteI'm not starting that over but I'm correcting the grammar here: it should have said: I never thought we would unless my father helped us buy one or I inherited his one day but we did do it, on our own, with a little hep from the USDA of course.
DeleteCongratulations, MK! Your long wait finally paid off! It’s now officially your house! Thankfully everything worked out well; from the appraisal to the inspection process. And for sure, you’re excited to make certain changes and make it more of YOUR house. What a great way to end your Friday!
