At this point I really have too many sets to store them all and its time to purge a little.
The set retails for $250.00-$150.00 (USD) but I'm thinking more like $60-$70. Mine are similar to the ones sold today (see the link from DickBlick) but mine are in a black wood case with the 2nd half of the pencils in a wood tray rather than stored in the top. I purchased these used off eBay years ago and used them myself to make a few color charts only. See photos below.
Replacement pencils can be purchased individually as open stock for $1.60 each at DickBlick.com. This is what I did when I first bought the set since two colors were missing.

I received notification of your comment here but no emails in my actual email, I'm sorry. In this instance however, I cannot help you as I sold these earlier in the year (or even last year). Given that the age of the post is so old, I didn't think to mark it "sold". If you like, I can give you some ideas where to look for a set.

She's had these pencils for years and I really want to do something nice for her. Any chance you could help??
ReplyDeleteI assume you are looking for open stock to buy her the single missing pencil. I have not looked in years but I have a list from back then of stores that did sell open stock Derwent Studio pencils but I'll leave it to you to check if they still do. Open stock is hard to find, that was one of the reasons I didn't much care for them. I hope you find it.
